Description
This little WuShi pendant, finished with a 18K gold bail, is carved from rare cyan jade from the legendary No. 7 Mine in Siberia. The mine was closed by the authorities many years ago, making true three-zero material—zero visible internal structure, zero inclusions, and zero fractures—extremely rare and expensive on today’s market.
The material has an almost translucent, smooth appearance that can resemble plastic, which is one of the characteristics that makes it gem-quality nephrite. However, this type of material is also exceptionally difficult to carve because it can fracture easily. For that reason, only highly experienced carving masters—typically those with at least 10 years of experience—should attempt to work with it.
We chose to create this WuShi pendant because WuShi symbolizes safety, peace, and freedom from chaos. Jade has traditionally been regarded as a protective amulet, and we paired it with a 18K gold bail because we believe gold is the perfect complement to such rare and precious jade.
Because of its rarity, many jade collectors and jade hunters may never have the opportunity to see this type of material in person.
I personally want to express my appreciation to the miners and all of our team members who helped bring this beautiful pendant to life. It is a small piece, but it represents rare material, skilled craftsmanship, and the dedication of everyone involved.
This jade is completely natural and untreated, preserving its original beauty and integrity. It comes with a regular pendant cord and a laboratory certification. Certification from GIA is available upon request for an additional fee.
